Heute auf dem Turnier passierte etwas, was mich sehr nachdenklich und traurig stimmt. Während eines offenen Spieles am Rande des offiziellen Turnieres kam es für Pebbles zu einem Zwischenfall. Sie durfte auch eine Runde spielen. Nach dem Lauf war ich gerade dabei sie anzuleinen, als eine Hündin vom Start weg nach hinten auf sie losging. Die Keilerei war gar nicht das Problem, auch wenn ich nicht verstehen kann, wie ein Hund so ein aggressives Verhalten aus dem Nichts zeigen kann. Aber die Reaktion der Besitzerin dieser Hündin. Sie kam dazu, holte aus und trat Pebbles mit voller Wucht in die Schulter. Pebbles lahmt seither stark und ihre Schulter ist sehr heiß. Und die einzige Reaktion dieser jungen Frau war es, sich zu Sorgen, ob es nicht besser sei, vor ihrem Lauf jetzt noch einen Starter zu haben, damit ihre Hündin nicht mehr so aufgeregt ist und  besser laufen kann. Ich war echt geschockt, denn so ein Verhalten ist für mich tierschutzrelevant. Jetzt kann ich nur hoffen, daß Pebbles da noch halbwegs glimpflich mit weg kommt.

Today during the meeting it happened someting, that made me really sad and thoughtful. During the official meeting besides we had the possibility to play an open game. Pebbles was allowed to run a short round. I was just putting her back on the leash, another bitch ran from start backwards and attacked Pebbles. The little fight was really not the problem, even if I can´t understand such an aggressive dog behaviour coming out of nothing. But the reaction of the dog owner shocked me totally. She came towords the dogs, struck out and kicked Pebbles in her shoulder. Since that, Pebbles is foundering and her shoulder is really hot. The only reaction of that young woman was, if she now should let start another dog first, so that her dog is not as upset and can run better. I am really shocked, because for me such a behavior really is against any animal welfare. Now I only can hope, that Pebbles gets of lightly.
